FAQ

Is this just a list of generic playground tips I could find on Google?

Honestly? If it was, I wouldn’t have bothered writing it. This guide exists because I couldn’t find anything that actually spoke to how it feels to be a neurodivergent mum at school pick-up. The second-guessing, the social hangovers, the why-did-I-say-that spiral – it’s all here, with real scripts, real strategies, and no pressure to pretend you’re okay when you’re not.

I’ve already made social mistakes at this school. Is it too late for me?

Definitely not. One of the biggest myths is that relationships can’t be repaired. I’ve included a full section on rebuilding – from how to reconnect without over-apologising, to exactly what to say when you feel like you’ve stuffed it. We’ve all been there (I once called a mum Olivia for a full year… her name was Sarah). You’re not the only one, and it’s not too late.

What if I don’t have the energy to do any of this?

That’s completely valid. This guide isn’t a list of ‘shoulds’ – it’s a toolkit for the days when school pick-up feels like an emotional minefield. You don’t have to read it all. You don’t have to action every strategy. But on the days you do want to show up differently – it’ll be here to back you.

Is this only for ADHD mums?

Not at all. I wrote it with ADHD mums in mind, but it’s neuro-affirming for anyone who finds pick-up hard – including autistic mums, mums with trauma, and mums who just don’t vibe with school social culture. If you’ve ever felt out of sync or misread – you’ll feel seen here.

Will I have access to updates if you add more?

Yes – always. If I expand it or add bonus sections, you’ll get the updated version automatically. You won’t need to chase it, and you won’t have to pay twice. Once it’s yours, it’s yours.

What if I regret buying it?

Then email me. No awkward questions, no guilt trip. This guide was written to lighten your mental load – not add to it. But if it’s not the right fit or not helpful right now, I’ll refund you. Simple as that.
